On October 6 of 1999, Mr Juan T. Imperial Jr, a student of Ross Guzman, sent Ms Peggy McCall, the Director of Quality Assurance of PADI, a letter that would forever change his life.

Here are some highlights from his letter:

“I spend too much time at work now dreaming of when I’ll be able to go underwater again…

I can’t even order sharks’ fin soup anymore because I now know that sharks are quickly becoming endangered — and to think that sharks’ fin soup used to be one of my favorite dishes.

Mr. Guzman’s gotten me so much into the whole experience of diving that I’ve already signed up for an advanced open water course (another course with Mr. Guzman), and am looking forward to someday reaching the divemaster level.”

Mr. Brad Smith, the Manager of Training and Quality in PADI, sent a reply:

“Your professional efforts help to keep PADI at the forefront of diver education.  We would like to extend our appreciation for the fine job you are doing representing PADI.”

Having been a lifeguard and first aid instructor in his teens, Ross wanted to become a "frogman" like James Bond in the 70's. He became a PADI Professional in the 90's and never stopped mentoring.

On the February 2006 issue of Travel Magazine, Ross was featured in an article written by Anna Lacson.

Here are some highlights from Ms Lacson’s article:

“One of only few PADI Course Directors in the Philippines … [he is] known for a teaching style that is fun, flexible and focused on the needs of the individual divers …

Different people dive for different reasons, and Ross Guzman has taught them all … Closest to his heart, however, is Instructor Development, where he gets to nurture students who want to make a diving career, as he has.”

Whether you are a diver going PRO or a newcomer to the amazing world of Scuba Diving, know you are in the capable hands of Ross Guzman.

Ivan learned to clear his mask on his own with a bucket of water when he was 10 years old. From then on, he know what he wanted - to be able to do that while breathing underwater. He became a PADI Professional in 2005.

Ivan is known as a Jack of All Trades. Applying skills he learned from working in various levels of diving, he approaches his students with confidence and a down-to-earth approach.

He likes getting to know his students and giving each one his own personal touch when it comes to their lessons. Fueled by coffee, he can keep up with junior divers as well as the adults.

Commended for his patience in training people regardless of age, gender and communication skills, he will work with you on a personal level to attain the rating that you desire.
